Artist Statement

I am interested in magnifying the mundane and potentially unnoticed.

Bold, loose brushstrokes amplify the quiet subject matter of my paintings, as well as help create movement and give the feeling of blurred memory.

In my drawings and sketches, my intention is to observe and capture quick images of unaware and momentary subjects, not unlike candid photographs.
